I'm 17 and I would like to know how syphilis spreads.
My partner and I are both virgins.

My qs is,
Can I get syphilis by committing to only one person and that person too is only committed to me?

Any advice or info on the matter would be great.

At 17 you should absolutely now more about this topic then you are letting on.
You get syphilis from unprotected sex with someone who is infected, same as other STDs. Have you been paying attention ?

I'm actly in a community that doesn't really expose teenagers to sex education much.
Sleeping around before your married is still something uncommon or should I say unacceptable to some.
So, we only get those info from friends or TV or internet.
I know a thing or two about syphilis or STDs from surfing, TV or the things I got involved in school such as debate.
The reason I'm asking is that I wanted to make sure that I really do understand the disease before getting involve in any activities that could get me infected.
