    vibration noise in roof!
Our home is made of double brick and has a tin roof. It is 3 yrs old. Mostly in winter during very windy conditions we get this awful loud sound that can keep you awake half the night! It is a really loud vibrating noise. We have had the company who built the house here last year, they said it might be a missing or come loose bolt causing the tin to lift slightly and vibrate. Not that they actually got on the roof and had a look mind you. We seem to think it has something to do with the air con unit in the roof so rang the guy who installed it, he says no, never heard of problem before with aircon, he says maybe a roof beam is loose! Help?

Let me get some additional info. Is the metal a standing seam roof or a regular 5v galvenized roof? What type of ventilation are you using? What style roof do you have-hip/gable/single slope,etc... Do you have gutters/DS or does water drain off edges?
