How do you know. If this is your attitude going in, then you are already going to fail. If you did ask her out, and she said no that's her problem. Have you ever thought about the fact she's not perfect, she bleeds like you and I. She has weakness and sensitivities like the rest of us. I'm not saying you should start taking the crude things about Howard Stern but using him as an example that you can see he doesn't say, "she's out of my league." He doesn't care, and women line for him. Because at the end of the day he's confident that he'll be okay with the result even if is does not go his way that moment.

Dude listen. I've dated one of the most popular girls in my school and I was just myself. I talked with her on occasion and texted her. And after a while we started going to movies and dinner. Then we dated and went to prom haha. Just be yourself, but don't run up to her and spill your guts for her because she will think you're a freak. Be polite and talk to her. Work on her as if she was a cookie. Take it slow and as you go along take longer steps like asking if she wants to do something. Soon your cookie will be gone and she might have feelings for you.
