I have a 42" Yard Machine Riding Mower 17.5 HP Briggs & Stratton that will not start. This tractor was running was put in the garage three years ago. I just put a new spark plug in it, new batter, and changed the oil. It sounds like it wants to start but won't turn over. Can any one help with this matter.

I agree but you did not mention enough details.When folks say it doesn't turn over it can mean 20 things. O you mean that the engine does not spin at all or do you mean it will not fire? Al;so you did not mention did you drain the tank and start with freshly bought gas?

I have no spark. Motor will turn over but not crank. I changed the spark plug and the same thing. HELP
