I am trying to find the name of a romantic movie. It starts with the couple tucking their daughter into bed and she wants to be told the story of how they met. It goes backwards through their life to the beginning. Throughout the entire story they were at the same places at the same time but never met. They end up meeting at a meeting to quit smoking and it is history from there. If this sounds familiar to anyone I would appreciate the help in finding out the title.

When did it come out? Only thing comes to mind is (how I meet your mother) new release.

I think the movie came out in the late 90's. I do remember one scene where they are both attending the same college. He is studying architecture and is not happy with his project so he tosses it out the window. She is sitting down under the window that he tosses his project and nearly misses her. She grabs her books and her backpack then runs off. He sticks his head out the window and says sorry. I also think that she ends up living at a place that has a fountain with beautiful flowers surrounding it. He ends up being the architect that would like to tear it out down if I recall correctly. When they are done telling their story they close the daughters door almost all the way then dance in the hallway. Any help would be appreciated!
