Twin Furnace - one blower runs very slow
    Hi all,

We have a 20 year old Carrier twin furnace.

The a/c is running and is plenty cool, but the house is not cooling down enough.

I opened up the doors and the right side blower motor is turning, but very slowly.

The coil is not iced up and I removed the filters to clean them. It doesn't appear to be too dusty or dirty.

Any thoughts on how to fix?

    Thanks in advance!

First you need to find out is power is being applied to the slower motor or if it is just turning because of air movement caused by the twinning of the units.

If power is available to the motor and the motor is not working or drawing current them the motor, motor capacitor is probably defective. If power is not available to the motor then the circuit board that supplies the power to the motor is defective.

There is probably a blower door switch that could also cause problems if defective.
