How to remove shower drain strainer?
Hello,
I've been having some trouble lately with a persistent drain odor coming from the shower drain in our master bathroom. I've been trying to remove the drain strainer so I can access and clean out the vertical drain pipe/ tailpiece, but I haven't had much luck. Since there are no screws for the strainer, I'm guessing it's a snap-on type of strainer. I've tried using pliers to turn and lift it, but I've been fairly gentle so far as I'd like to avoid damaging the strainer if possible. Is there a proper way of removing this type of strainer or should I just pry it out? Any advice would be appreciated.
