Pubic Shaving Tips - M/F Shavers Please Provide Input
    Hello,

I have been reading the threads on the forums regarding shaving pubic hair. I tried this with good results a little over a week ago (actually started as trimming & then got carried away). The smooth balls felt great & my wife LOVED it; We have had some of the best sex we have experienced in years. She loves the way every thing feels & looks now. She definitely likes to perform oral sex more now. We may try the same on her next week. BTW- the itching has not been bad, just powder up good in the a.m with talc (I shaved dry w/ very light touch. Don't know if this had anything to do w/ it). I had a few questions after reading in some different sites on the web & was hoping that some of you more experienced in this practice could help us with.

    1. I am wondering about the best equipment to use to do this with. We have already purchased a trim kit for trimming the area up top (we chose not to completely shave).
I have heard a lot of different recommendations about different razors & wanted to know what was the best to use.

    2. I was wondering if any of the guys had had experience using the Phillips Body Groomer on their scrotum. I read in one fellow’s blog that he did not recommend its use for the scrotum due to cutting issues. He preferred the Gillette Fusion Power for that area. One site recommends the use of the Gillette Venus for shaving pubes while still others recommend the round Seiko shaver or various manual razors.

    3. Also I have heard that regular men’s shaving cream is not recommended. I have read recommendations that range from Gillette Satin Care to hair conditioner or KY Jelly. What do you find most effective?

    4. I have also read various recommendations for “after shaving” products to prevent problems. To be honest, so far, I have not encountered any bumps, irritation, etc. Although, even though my wife indicated she doesn’t think I need to save there again yet; now at a little over a week the stubble seems a little prickly at times. I have been using hair conditioner down there daily to try to keep things soft & avoid the pricklies.

I guess what I am really trying to say is that some of the info I have been reading on the web is a year or two old & wanted to get input on what the best products available today for these purposes are & will also gladly read any additional advise those of you who do this have to offer (some of the basics I have read in previous threads).

Thank you in advance for taking the time to help us with this. My wife has a renewed interest in sex now; I want to keep her horny & happy!

You want opinions and product opinions I can give mine.. :) I've been shaving for 6 years now... I find that (for men and women.. ) the venus razors shave the best and that if you shave often they reduce the chance of razor burn occurring. Conditioner does work very well.. but I use the shaving cream that is made for the venus razor. Speciffically intended for sensitive skin it doesn't irritate that much... hope I helped in some way

Hmmm... Im a guy and I have always just used an electirc beard trimmer. Ive been shaving for a few years now and never had much of a problem to think about using anything else.

A straight razor?? Yikes... sounds scary. My girlfriend uses a Venus. She doesn't seem to ever hazve any problems.

Oh and if you think its great now... just wait until SHE shaves, too... ;)

My boyfriend and I both shave. We both use a Venus razor with "Coochy" brand rash free shave cream. This leaves it soooo smooth..

I find that if you just use a gillett fusion and shave with the grain of the hairs and wipe off the razor often, that it just gives it all a nice short trim, so its not a jungle down there, bt it doesn't itch like hell either. By going over the same spot over and over this way, its sort of just like "thinning" it out and you can decide how much you want to trim and thin by how many passes you make on the same area.

I've always done it with a gell. Use the extra moisturizer type. I use a twin blade razor.

But always wash well with hot water and soad first for several minutes... or at the end of a shower. If you do it every 2 to 3 days it says smooth, doesn't itch, and feels oh so good.

I believe this is a lot like cars, everyone has their own ideas of what they like,

Perhaps a good suggestion, try various ways ( after the first few times) and see what is best for you.

What is the attraction of having shaved genitalia? I mean besides how it feels, does it enhance pleasure at all? Or have any other little nifty purpose

It looks good and feels even better. What more reason do you need than those two.

Well without carpet to trap lint, odor and other debris... it allows for a less smelly cleaner, more enjoyable experience. After all, you don't eat your dinner on the living room carpet, even after you shampoo and vacuum it, do you? Same difference.

In a way it does enhance pleasure because you have a larger area that greets pleasure:D

I shave and have talked my BF into shaving. It is the best feeling ever, because you can feel everything so much more plus everything looks better. I love giving him oral and the same goes for him to. I us the Shick Quattro razor and shave with baby oil. After I have shaven I use oil of olay body lotion for in the shower. ( rub it on rinseit off and... ) Then I all ready to go... lol

I shave and my husband shaves his balls and trims on top. We love it!! There's nothing better than to lick things when they are bare. It feels good when we feel skin on skin. It's clean and I must say my kitty looks pretty. Plus it makes him look bigger.

There is also the "hairball" factor. (I shaved completely, first for almost a year, before
I suggested to my husband that he do it). Now I do not have a problem with taking all of him in. I no longer have to stop to pull out the little pubs. Talk about a mood killer... ;)

trust me a single pube will leave me gagging (quite literally) as well... I've been a fan of the smooth look for about 30 years... far, far longer than its been popular.

I've tried the conditioner whilst shaving and it's no good for me.
However I think I'll try my babies curash powder for afterwards! Lol

May take you a few weeks before your skin gets used to it, and you learn how to do it best.

Some people believe that it shows you respect your body and that it shows cleanliness (spelling?)
