    Perito

Color removers come in two types. One is a bleach (Effasol, Color Zap), the other is a reducing agent (ColorFix, ColorOops, etc). The bleach tries to lighten the artificial pigment; the reducing agent tries to dissolve the artificial pigment.

Color Removers can be hard on hair and they are not recommended for relaxed hair. If your hair is in good shape, you can do a strand test to see if your hair will survive the process. Remember that you have to redye after using color remover.
