How do I remove the one inside shower knob?
    Hi:

My shower is leaking, so I am trying to replace the washer, but I'm stuck!

I removed the outside shower knob, but cannot remove the one inside.

I loosened the screw using a long necked hex, but there looks like another
Screw inside. I tried different sized hexes, but they are either too big to fit
Inside the tube or too small for the screw. I also tried to pull hard in case
It is corroded, but the knob doesn't move!

Thank you in advance for your help!

What is the Brand name of your shower valve? I have put up a exploded view of a typical three knob shower valve. While it doesn't show the handles it might help when you open up the valve. In the meantime can you send us a picture about what's giving you the trouble? Regards, tom

You may need a thin wall socket. May have to visit an auto parts store to find one. Also more expensive tools use less of a better steel. Another option would be to grind down a socket to fit and hope you have enough meat left to remove the nut.

Also, when you send Tom the picture, he may point out you can pull off the sleeve blocking the nut.
