I have 2 mortgages on my house (80/20)- the largest is with Wells Fargo. My husband lost his job in December so I decided to contact Wells Fargo so see if we can modify our mortgage. They've asked that we send them a Hard Ship Letter along with a financial worksheet, his was done in January.

I received 4 phone calls asking us to RESEND our paper work and its now JUNE.

Do you think they are just giving us the run around or does it really take this long for them to come to a decision?

I also have a mortgage with Wells Fargo. I recently discovered that there is also a company called Wells Fargo Financial. These companies are not connected, however they share information.

I had inquired with Wells Fargo about a home equity loan, but was contacted by someone from Wells Fargo Financial. Suddenly I was speaking with both companies, not realizing that I was speaking with two different companies. It cause major confusion and delays. Perhaps you are experiencing something similar.

I really hope not.


They are giving me the run around and I was told by a mortgage agent that's something Banks do so that you give up trying. Doesn't make sense as wouldn't they want for you to repay them??
