    Water heater wiring
I have an electric hot water heater. It was disconnected by some one that didn't label the wires. Coming out of the water there is a black, red and a screw for the ground. The wire coming from the wall has a white, red, black, and bare copper (ground). I need to know how to connect the wires. The white wire is what has me confused.:(

Cap the white and forget it.

    I agree with Strat,

But it wouldn't hurt to check the panel to make sure someone didn't cap the black or red, and use the white conductor. Never know! ;)
