    Toilet drain elevation
At what elevation should toilet drain be in relationship to finished floor? Same, lower, higher?

We install our closet flanges on top of the finished floor. However the flange can be installed on the sub-floor if the finished floor isn't too thick. And if it is we have flange extenders , (see image) that will take up the difference.
    Good luck, Tom
