Watching for changes in your discharge may help. When your body is preparing for ovulation you usually will notice the dischcarge becomes more abundant, clear, and fluid. Most women will notice this external, and it usually is pretty obvious, but some women will have to check internally for changes.
If you are comfortable with it, you can also check the feel and position of your cervix at different times of each month. When you are getting closer to ovulation, your cervix will move higher up and be more difficult to reach, it will become softer, and may feel slightly open. Other times of the month it will be lower, easy to reach, closed, and firm.
There are other methods as well, such as temping/charting, but that one may be more difficult since you don't have regular cycles.
You can always speak with your doctor about it as well. They may suggest either birth control pills for a time, which sometimes will help regulate your cycle, or perhaps something like vitex, also known as angus castus or chasteberry tea. This helps some women will irregular cycles.
