Should I stll have a wedding?
I told my husband that I didn't want to have a court house wedding or get married in someone's house. Well he cancelled our wedding because he said he didn't think that I would be ready because I would have had our daughter 3 months before. He never asked me anything he just cancelled it and pushed for us to get married before our daughter was born and we got married in his parents house! And he never took any pictures with me on that day and none of my family were there! Now that he feels bad about cancelling the wedding and taking my dream away he wants to have a real wedding. Im not sure if I want to do it because we are already married and it wouldn't feel the same to me. Should I have a wedding and put my feelings aside or what?? :( Please help!!

If he feels bad about this and wants to make it up to you, have a wedding at someone's house. If you want an elaborate wedding you may want to rethink the expense. If you do it right you will have a lot of precious photos and memories. You don't have to spend a lot to have a nice wedding.

I got married at the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - outside on a beautiful morning.

You could always celebrate and have the wedding and call it something like a 1 year anniversary with a wedding sort of like renewing vows like some couples do for their 50th anniversary.

You say he pushed to have you guys get married in his parents house. The thing is, he was not the only one getting married, but you decided to go through it anyway.

Not sure what the circumstance is. There may be more to the story here, but If your happy with him and your lives are well and he wants to make it up to you then why not have another ceremony renewing your vows.

He said he pushed to get married for income tax purposes.

I knew there is more to the story, but that is a stupid reason to get married. Although helping with finances by being married will help.

Why did you both agree to get married in the first place for?

    ARE YOU HAPPY?

Tell him to discuss things that pertain to you first from now on. He wanted to get married for tax purposes but did he listen to your reasons on any of this or just push you into it?

I hope this isn't a pattern with him.

Yes, I would have the wedding,it may not feel as you wanted the first one to be. You deserve to have those memories and pictures to treasure from here on out. Have it on an aniversery of your marriage. To renew your vows. Have it in a way that you want. So you have no regrets. Good luck to you an di hope all goes well.:)
