Under faucet shower diverter not working
My shower diverter suddenly quit working today. It is the type that you pull down from the underside of the faucet. You pull down but it does not stay in place, just pops right back up. The water pressure is strong enough so it should stay put. Any ideas? https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/images...s/confused.gif

As cheap as those are it is better to replace them rather than try to repair them. Also you do not have to use the same type of diverter, you can use one that has the diverter knob on top of the spout and at the end furthest from the wall, they seem to me to last longer.

Yep, best to replace the whole shebang.

Thanks for the info. Forgot to mention that water comes out the back of the faucet when I use the diverter.

We need more information. One handle or two knobs? Is the diverter on the spout or built in to the valve? What's the brand name? How do you know the water's coming out the back. Gtd you remove the face plate? Let's have some details. Cheers, Tom
