    Gift, and Demand?
About 1 year ago a friend who happens to live in the same apartment building as me gave me two chairs and a couch, no strings attached. She simply did not want them anymore. I am now moving and was planning to sell the furniture to help pay for my tuition. She is now demanding that she never gave me the furniture and she wants it back. She's harassed me on multiple occasions to give it back, and even tried to get my friend to give her my spare keys so she could take it back while I wasn't home. She's calling me and texting me from strange numbers constantly. Now she's threatening to sue, because she claims to have the receipt for a 20 year old couch. I have 2 people that witnessed her GIVING me the couch because she "didn't have anywhere to put it, and didn't want it anyways".

Does she have a case against me at all?

With a 20 year old couch and 2 chairs I doubt she is lucky to get even a hundred dollars in court if she sues you because of depreciation over all these years. On the other hand I doubt you would get even sixty if you sold them.

My opinion, return them to her and leave it go.

It would be your word - and that of your witnesses - against hers if it came to that.

Why not just give her the furniture and cut your losses?

I agree. Its not worth the trouble. You won't get much for the furniture. Give them back and move on.
