3 months is OK to start giving flea treatments to a pup. You should wash your pup in a flea treatment shampoo from the vet, and then follow with using a flea collar to prevent further infestations happening. Also, if your pup got the fleas from your house or back yard you should get some flea sand or liquid to place around the yard to kill what's left hatching out there. Otherwise your pup will continue to keep getting them, no matter what treatment you use with him.
Best advice is just to go to your local vet and get some treatment products. That'll definitely do the trick.
Flea collars are generally a waste of money.
Go to the vets, and pick something up like Advantage or Revolution, your pooch is old enough. :)
Make sure you get something for puppies and his weight.
Had to spread the rep Sariss but you are spot on.
We bought a new house which was literally infested with fleas which we did not realise until the dogs were covered in them.
It took 2 treatments of Advantage but now I am completely flea free!
I find flea collars are a waste of money though Tick collars seem to work well for ticks.. but we are not talking about ticks lol... I personally use advantage and it has kept my pooch flea free since I started using it.. (and we are known for having bad flea problems with the other dog here in the summer) the other dog and the cat in the house get revolution (not my pets lol they are the upstairs peoples pets) and they swear by it.. though you have to buy both of them from the vet. And be sure to get the right one for his size... too much or too little can hurt the pup or give him severe fleas because he's not protected proper
