    Outdoor electrical outlet
Have an outdoor electrical outlet that has worked fine until a power outage. Now there is no power into it. Outlet has two plugs with two rectangular "buttons" between plugs. Tried pushing either button - NO GO. Checked all other outside outlets all fine. Checked circuit breakers all fine. On all other outside outlets, reset buttons are colored. This one is not. I have run out of ideas, any ideas?

With volt meter check wire going to outlet.

    If 120volts, outlet is NG.

    Replace with GFI

The outlet you describe is a GFI outlet just like your other exterior outlets. They just didn't color the test and reset buttons. If the outlet will not trip off on test, or reset, that is an indication that there is no power to the outlet. Check circuit breakers. If that outlet in on the same circuit as other exterior outlets, and it most likely is, it is probably defective and will need to be replaced.
