We just replaced a dining room hanging light with a new fixture. There are 2 light switches that control this overhead light. When we turned the power back on the light came on but now we can not shut it off with either switch. What did we do wrong?

Need more info.
Number wires in box and colors would help.

Most likely, you connected the always hot feed to the light, instead of to the switch leg.
There were 3 wires in the box. One white, one black and one bare gold wire. The white and black wires each had more than 1 wire coming in to a common exposed end on each that was connected to the previous light. We connected the white to white and black to black and the bare wire to the wire on the mounting strap with the green screw on the mount. This is a overhead light with 3 lamps that hang from it.
Hope this is enough. Thanks.
