I have a 16 foot pool that weighs approximately 334 lbs and it holds approximately 6981 pounds. How much would the pool weigh and could it be set on a deck and if so how should I build it?

Check with your local building department, most will not allow an above ground pool on a deck.
Part of your test answer is already here..Quote:

334 plus 6981 = 7,351 pounds
Safe construction is build/set up the pool and build the deck around it. Its all about the cart and hoarse thing.
This approach is practiced for good reasons.
A gallon of water weighs 8.35 lbs. I think your pool holds over 4000 gallons so it weight is quite a bit higher than you think. How were you determining the weight?
