Celiera Portable AC 12000 BTU does not work
I plugged it and turned it on. I checked all trouleshooting ideas.. It does not stay on for a while. IT turns off. ANd then it turns on a few minutes later. The thing is, no cold air is blowing out. Not even the fan. I can hear it humming.. but no air is coming out. I put it on swing, the fan is not even directing the air. It is just noise. No air blowing out.

Sounds like the fan is not working... portable ac units are usually easier and cheaper to buy a new one versus trying to fix.

But why would it turn off ? And shouldn't I feel something cool anyway even if the fan is not working ?

It could be turning off because of a safety device within the unit. And no you won't always feel something cool if fan is not working. The compressor may be shutting down quickly on thermal protection. Have you cleaned it filter lately? And this hum is it the compressor trying to run? Did it start recently or has it always made some kind of hum? Where did you store the unit? Maybe it got some water damage on its controls.

Hard to say without being there.

This is brand new, off from the box. It hums. I am in AZ. And it is hot. It is in my room. I even se it to 26 Celsius to make sure that it is not too low for cooling. It says so in the manual to try a different setting. But I don't think that's the problem. You might be right about a safety shut down. I do have it plugged in a power extension. The manual says to plug it in a wall outlet and not to other extensions with other devices plugged as well. But here is no wall outlet near. I even did the test button, reset and test again. It said that if the green light is on, then I am good to go.

Could the outlet be the solution ? Is that why it shuts off ? Still the fan is not blowing.

It could be... some appliances need to be plugged straight into outlet. If not take it back since it is new. That is if you can.
