    Adoption ?'s
I have a child with my ex and she remarried 5 years ago and now her and her husband want to have everyone in there house to have the same last name and to accomplish this he has asked to adopt my son. Which I have no objection to because I never get to see him and he reconises her husband as dad anyway but my quiestion is if he adopts him am I still obligated to pay child support which I have no problem with never had never will because its my responsibilitie I was just wondering if we go through this adoption am I still obligated to pay child support?

No, if you allow the adoption you will no longer be the parent, he will. Therefore you have no obligation because it isn't legally your child.

You will not owe any future child support once the adoptoin takes places.

You will ( or may) still owe any back support if you are not current.

Why be ahead on child support ? You may be living a fantasy. In many cases if you pay over and above what's been ordered then its considered a " gift ". You should have thought to spend those extra dollars on a lawyer and to be able to see your child. It doesn't sound as if you have been to court for custody to make this happen.
