Removing father's name from birth certificate
About 20 yrs ago I married this girl who said she was pregnant with my child. We married a few months after the baby was born. Then after 2 years she confessed and admitted to me that I was not the child's father. We then got a divorced and she was to change her legal name and told me that she would change the babies name as well. I thought everything was taking care of and in the past until the other day. Come to find out that my name is still on the birth certificate and she still has my last name. What legal right s do I have. I would like for my name to be removed from the birth certificate and her last name to be change. I live in Florida.

You may not be able to, since you did not object ( legally in court) or at the time of divorce ( legally in court)

There should have been a child custody agreement at the time of divorce.

But you will need to hire an attorney for this one, who will have to make a motion for a DNA test and once it shows you are not the father, a request that you be removed.

That will not automatically change his name, just remove you as the father
