    Recutting Granite Counters
So adding to the ever growing list of to-dos...

My wife decided she doesn't like the sink in the kitchen. It's a 2 basin drop in about 2 inches smaller than the cabinet it is installed in. It is cut into a solid granite counter leaving about a 1 inch open strip across the front and back side of granite.

She wants a country style sink (I think that's what they are called).

My question is will the stone guys be able to recut installed granite to accommodate the new sink or will we have to replace the entire piece? Is this something that can even be determined without having the guy in to give an estimate?

That's 20+ projects on the list now. I really need to call DirecTV and have them remove HGTV from my lineup...

    Thank!

The granite/stone workers should have no problem cutting counter in place. They have tools for this.
