    Default Judgment
I was evicted from an apartment in Tennessee. The landlord received a default judgment in the amount of approximately $1,600.00. Now I have received a bill from the landlord for over $3,000.00. If the landlord wanted more than the amount of the judgment should they have asked for that amount in court? Am I responsible for the $1,600 judgment or can the landlord charge me any amount they want and ignore the judgment? Thanks for your help!

What is the breakdown for the increased amount? The landlord cannot take you to Court for the same issue twice.

For example, you could be sued for the securith deposit or additional cleaning and sued again for rent. You cannot be sued twice for rent.
