My kids stomach pain and bloated.
My kids is 8 yrs old and has constant stomach pain:(, she usually complaits right before going to bed. It is bloated, her stool is hard most times and it looks like little balls. I usually call it rabbit poop, it's not funny but I really need to find a home made recipe. I think she's constipated, I look it up but she doesn't have all the symptoms that are described under it. The reason I'm on her and not at the doctors, it's because they always try to guess what's wrong with her and not get to the bottom of it. I'm sick of going to the doctor and all he ever does is try to guess and say she might be allergic to something. I need help please!!

    Thank you very much.:)

It simply sounds as though she is constipated. Encourage apple juice, increase water and fiber. Stay away from dairy.

Lastly, please see a gastroenterologist, this could be caused by a number of ailments.

Thanks, I will try it. She usually eats cereal with "milk' right before bed and that's when her stomach starts to hurt.

The dairy could be causing the tummy troubles. Perhaps try soymilk. Or another type of snack.

As J9 suggested, plenty of fiber and water.

She is constipated. If this is going on for longer than 5 days without a normal movement, I would be concerned. I would start her out with an enema to clear the blockage. For normal maintenance I would add a fiber supplement to her diet. These can be added to water or any other non carbonated drink.

It also sounds like she has lactose intolerance. You can try an elimination diet yourself to diagnose it yourself. Cut all milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream... anything that has milk in the ingredients. If that does not change her tummy troubles start again this time cutting out wheat. Found in cereal, bread, cookies etc.

Those are the most common easily home tested food allergy tests.
