    Civil Lawsuit-Legal Matter
I was taken off social security disability because I made above the monthly threshold. I am disputing the amount I owe. Social Security "will not" let me appeal. I was told I am general labor and have no rights. I disagree. Can I file a civil suit for harassment and discrimination? I have contacted two congressment to resolve this issue but can not.

This is simple, did you earn above the allow amount to draw your disability?

Your working status should have nothing to do with rights to appeal, the evidence you have or the reason for the appeal is normally the issue

Since I have seen no evidence of any right violated I see no civil suit.

    1. how were your harassed, merely denying benefits because of high earnigs is merely rules

Discrimination?? Was this done because of your race, or your relgion or some protected class.

Thank you for the timely response Fr Chuck. I was sent a letter by social security which told me to appeal, if I had a issue with their determination. I went to social security and explained everything but told me I have no right to appeal. The guy at social security told me I was just general labor and did not matter. Can someone tell another person this with a severe disability? I don't think so, when that person works for the government. My case has been ongoing for 2 years now. I have run out of congressmen and patience. Any response would me helpful. I have called social security, mailed them, and contacted two congressmen with no help. Lawsuit next? I don't know. Confused Matt.

Have you spoken to an attorney familiar with SS? Sounds like you have been making lots of noises but not enough substance.

Unless you filed the correct paper work, ( within the correct time frame) that is your appeal right.

SS disability is often denied for many people the first time. But without an attorney there is little chance of winning against them.

Merely going down and talking to them, has almost no use and also does little good, you will or could get a dozen answers from a dozen people, What only counts and I do mean ONLY, is what you get officially from them in writing.

If the official notice said you could appeal, then in writing you needed to appeal, not go down and talk to anyone.

Talking to congress people is great, but unless they are on one of the important committees, often they do little,
