This is false. While your partner cannot get BV, he can indeed reinfect you.

It does not cure it, and it can cause it to spreead.

You need antibiotics to get rid of BV.

Right I am currently taking clyndamycin, I get this infection recurrently it is very aggravating.

Your partner will need to be treated as well for it to completely go away.

He hasn't had any symptoms of anything

Men don't have symptoms, they just carry the bacteria and re-infect you. This is why you both should be treated.

I also get it almost every month I recently started to take an over the counter medication that is suppose to help only been taking it for like a week now so I can't comment on its effectiveness, but j9 is right both you and your partner should take the antibiotics at the same time and use a condom during the treatment.

No,BV is not a sexually transmitted disease. Women can get it even when they have not had sex. Some women are more prone to it and get it very easily and some women never get it. Antibiotics are the only way to get rid of it as it is a bacterial infection,similar to strep throat and some women may need different kinds of antibiotics than is normally prescribed. Some women can be infected and have no symptoms,in that case your doctor may choose not to treat you as some women "normally" have an overgrowth of bacteria in their vagina. Everyone is different and you should be discussing this with your own doctor.

If you douche, this could be causing it as well.

Sex does not take bv away it atually makes it worse

Oh wow, then I should ask my partner to make an appoinment and get checked for it they will be able to detect though right?. No I don't douche cause I heard its not good for you.
