I'm linking one workbook to another using a COUNTIF function. For some reason its only successful when the source book is open. The destination book links and updates. But when I close the source book and update, I get a #VALUE error. When I use a SUM function it is successful and updates the destination workbook regardless if the source book is open. Are there certain function that foreign linking can work with? Or is my StartUp folder missing something?
