I know that there are all these companies that claim to consolidate and wipe out CREDIT CARD debt. Is that for real, and is there something like that for just regular old debt. Old bills, stuff that exes left you with, that kind of stuff? I really need help paying off all my debts, but no one takes you seriously when its not credit card debt, or it looks self inflicted. PLEASE HELP! Any solution to my problem would be great!!

((Please keep in mind that one of my debts is to a bank, and therefore my abilities to get a loan are much much lower. Well, I've been turned down by 5 banks))

Also, I have NO credit, and very very bad credit at this point.

I just need help to get on the right track!

Check to see what the long term effect of these services are... I know someone that used this service and it is on his credit record for 7 years. I hasn't stopped him from buying a new car when he needed it or adjust the way he was living but was getting out of debt..

Most of the debt consolidation companies work with credit card companies, they have contracts with them to allow them to pay at lower intest or to work out a deal of some sort. But not all companies have contracts with all companies.

And you have to have enough income to be making payments toward them to start with, And you will have to call each and try to work out a payment plan with each of them

I have a payment plan with each, but at $5 a month each, its not doing anything...

I just need a solution. Maybe I just have to win the lottery.

There are already numerous things that are on my credit report for seven years, so one more that would potentially fix my credit and help me pay off bills won't hurt.
