It was a tossup to put this in the hair and skin care, or here. But I chose here cause I'm worried it may be a medical issue. If I'm wrong, move it for me please :)


I was getting jammies on last night, and I noticed on my stretchmarks on my stomach (from pregnancy 5 years ago) had small strange looking hairs. It looked like 2 and 3 small hairs in ONE follical. I got tweezers and pulled them. There was no pain, no resistance, it felt a little weird though.

And once I got the hair out, it looked like a feather! It really freaked me out! Like I was growing something in my skin on my stomach.


Any thoughts?

Sounds a little strange. Are you taking hormones?

This might sounds nuts but I get them on my chest.
You can't see them unless you look very closely but there are very fine, almost white colored short hairs. Quite often there is 3 or 4 out of the one follicle. I can grab them with tweezers and they just come straight out with ro resistance as yours do.

I don't think it is anything to worry about but if you do go get checked out tell me what they are so I know what mine are! :D

Haha its nice to know I'm not the only one.


I asked my mom yesterday, she said she gets them as well. She said her doctor said its because of a malformation caused by the stretchmarks. He said its nothing to worrie about.
