6 weeks old kitten with fleas, what should I do?
I have a 6 week old kitten and I have found what looks like a flea on him. Can some one help me. As he is not old enough for flea treatment, what should I do??

Please can someone help, as I won't to get this problem sorted before it gets any worse.

    Thanks Michelle

Take a trip down to the vet, leaving someone in care of the kitten, and ask there, giving all the details
I'm sure this happens a lot, and I'm sure the vets must know what treatment you can use to prevent the spread of fleas.

    I hope this helps

You can get kitten flea treatments from pet stores for cats as young as 6 weeks.

Go to the vet and pick up some revolution - they are old enough for it.
I don't recommend any pet store treatments, but if you do end up going.. STAY AWAY from ANYTHING from the company Zodiac.
There's actually a whole website based on them..

Yes I've heard about Hartz/Zodiac before and to stay away from them...

I don't know whether it is available in America but here our best flea treatment is Advantage.

    I believe it's available here.
In Canada, our best products are Advantage and Revolution. I much prefer Revolution, though.

Advantage kills adult fleas and larvae, while Revolution kills adult fleas, larvae, AND flea eggs.

You're from the UK? I'm not sure if it's out there or not, but I could be wrong.. it's really popular here.
