    Killing wild hedge bush
I live in East Tennessee and I have wild hedge growing in my yard. I am trying to kill this stuff. Is there a chemical I can purchase that will kill it but not my grass?

    That's a tall order!

There are 'cides out there that will do what you request, but they are used for smaller plant varieties that are generally found in/very proximity to lawns. Your after a bigger 'critter.
That's why I'm suggesting to paint and not spray, you could spray, but hold the wand very close and spray without a lot of pressure.

You could make a guard out'a fabric, secure it with a wiretie around the nozzle of the sprayer

Your objective is to stop the Chem from becoming airborne

 Use with extreme caution - Danger Will Robinson!...Danger!

Have you cut the offending hedge yet?

If not, cut to ground level and within 5minutes, paint a herbicide on the stump cambium, Roundup will work. Not sure how old/thick your stumps will be, but you don't have to apply the herbicide to the entire cut surface, just the outer perimeter.

Garlon 3A is a great herbicide, but expensive:
    Garlon® 3A herbicide

A strong solution of glyphosphate (43% strength mixed 3 parts herbicide to 2 parts water) may also be effective. Its in Roundup, but diluted, you want the pure stuff.
Glyphosate - toxicity, ecological toxicity and regulatory information

Both products can be found at dedicated Garden centers.

After application you could even lay/secure black plastic over top the hedge line to stop photosynthesis.

As with all Chemicals  Use with extreme caution
    Do not use salt.

See Ya round the compost pile
