Asking a father to sign off his parental rights
How do I go about asking my ex to sign off his parental rights to my 4 year old daughter. He spent 4 years in prison, and he has only seen my daughter 1 time and he very rarely pays child support and I would like to know the appropriate steps to take in asking his to sign of his parental rights, and does it make a difference that I have sole psychical and legal custody of her until the age of 18?

Exactly what do you hope to gain by his signing off his rights?

He cannot sign over his parental rights. There's a message about this at the top of the board you neglected to read.
