Finding the value of "n"

What is strategy for finding value of following equation 142divided by n = 28R2?

$\frac {142}{n} = 28R2$

The "28R2" confuses me. Is that supposed to be $28^2$ or $28R^2$ or something else?

As written, you have two unknowns, R and n. You can only solve for one of them.

$\frac {142}{28R2}= n$

$\frac{142}{n} = 28R^2$

Don't quite understand, since you have two variables, you cannot find the value of n directly. You have to have the value of R. However, making n the subject of formula, we have;

$\frac{n}{142} = \frac{1}{28R^2}$

$\frac{n}{142}\times 142= \frac{1}{28R^2} \times 142$

$n= \frac{142}{28R^2}$
