Should women feel pain around the vagina area when getting aroused?

I'm sure how to describe it. It feels like I'm going to burst down there. Its like I get really tense and the pain is like a very sore muscle. It only stops with penetration. But I'd like foreplay to last longer.

How long have you been having sex?
When did this become an issue for you?

I'm 25. I've been active since I was 16. Its been happening for a least the last couple years.

Yes only during foreplay. It makes me just want to "get it over with". I hate that feeling. That is actually one of the only things I haven't asked my OB yet. Money is a little tight so I figured maybe I could get some answers here.

I think we are all in agreement that you should discuss this with your doctor. Just to be on the safe side, he/she may want to run a screening for STDs because some can manifest themselves in different ways.

Try going to a Planned Parenthood clinic near you. They work on a sliding fee scale and can give you an examination there.
