Diagnosis what is wrong with my a/c not blowing hard
I live in a 99 double wide mobile home in Kansas. When it gets real hot outside like upper 90s to 100 the a/c doesn't cool good I can get it to about 85 degrees in here in the afternoon. I have lived in mobile homes before I know this is not normal. The vents are not blowing real hard air out of them. If I close the bedroom doors I can't keep the bedrooms nice and cool but not my main living areas I have two of them and the kitchen. I had a a/c man come out here is what I was told.

    Added freon to the system
Check air temp in vents blowing at 55 degrees
    New filters

He was suppose to come back because he suspected a leak but never showed up. So I call a 2nd person to come out.

System is OK on coolant I was told
Checked the coils - condensation on them is all I saw no ice build up
Check the air temp in the vents blowing now at 57 degrees

Was told I had a air leak under the mobile home and replace duct work! But he never went under to look.

My husband went under the mobile home and yes you can feel cool air blowing under the furance. Lots of consendation on the cooper tubing running from a/c to furance. The insallation on it you can squeeze like a sponge full of water.

I call a 3rd a/c companey that specializes in mobile homes and they can't come out till Monday. So I am wondering what it is? Any suggestions?

Most mobiles especially dubble wides have leaks under the trailer ESPECIALLY dubble wides since they have a main trunk jumper that ties the two halfs together. Fix the leak and you should be all set to get cool.
