Installing new toilet flange to 3" galvanized
I'm installing a new toilet in a basement and the plumbing was roughed in back in the early 40's. The problem I having is trying to find the right flange that will work with 3" galvanized pipe. From what I can see I don't believe it's cast iron, but it wouldn't suprise me if it is. I bought a 3" push down flange with a thin rubber gasket on it and it drops all the way in and does not provide a snug fit. The pipe is a threaded bell flush with the concrete. Any ideas?

There is a cast iron flange that will slip over the pipe and then you can tighten up some nuts and it squeezes a rubber ring against the pipe you are p0utting it over. This might work and I do think you can buy them to fit 3 inch pipe.

Are you sayng the toilet stub-up is a 3" threaded female fitting? I looked at Growlers advice and if the 3" tourqe set closetflange is a inside flange it would work. However if it fits on the outside you're stilll ooking for a threaded flange. Regards, Tom

Look no longer. Help is on the way,(see image) click on; http://www.randgsupply.com/Warehouse...lets.htm#33634
