    Downstream speed ?
    I used to have a DSL internet form AT&T high speed internet ( HSI pro ) for $ 30.00
    With this plan you can get 3.00 MB downstream.

    I was watching some MMMA bouts , soccer matches or any live stream event online using SopCast, TVU player, and Justin TV. The broadcasting was very good and clear. Because of lack of money I changed my plan and switch back to the basic plan with only 768 KB.
    Now I can hardly watch anything online. Somebody told me than I can fix that problem by downloading one of internet speeding up software as Ashampoo internet accelerator, ActiveSpeed, speed Gear, iNTENET turbo, and other. Do these software really fix the problem and enables me to watch anything online as I used to ?
    Others told me that this has nothing to do with your problem. The problem is form downstream speed and these software will not speed up the downstream speed. The only way is to upgrade my plan. Which to believe now ?

    Thanks

    You can only download as fast as your ISP is providing you, (what your plan is)

    You can try this, TCP Optimizer (XP)

    This will optimize tcp settings - personally this is the only thing that actually helped me and I have tried many - Not going to get you to blazing speeds or anything, just optimizes settings to work with what you have - Remember, can only work with what your ISP is providing under your plan.

    No promises, but will help if noticeable.
    SpeedGuide.net :: TCP Optimizer / Downloads

    What you can also do is go to
    Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

    And check your up/download speeds before and after

    Hope it helps out some, but ISP will give you what you get, all you can do is try to optimize settings on your end.

    Yes I too heard about the internet download manager that boost up the speed. But I can't believe it. I used once and I checked my internet speed test here www.ip-details.com and I didn't notice any increase in speed.
