Our previous landlord borrowed equipment and now refuses to give back. What type of lien can I put on his property for the cost of the equipment or the return. We left when our lease was up and own no money. He just wants the equipment because he is using it and now we need it for a job.

You have to sue him in small claims. You cannot file a lien without a judgment in your favor.
