Hello, have questions relating to pregncncy
Hey everyone, I just signed up and have a few questions about women and pregnancy. Seems I'm in a very sticky situation. Any experts that can shed some light please?

Hello, So I had sex with a girl and a month later she says she is pregnant. We had sex three times and condom broke once. I don't think I ejaculated in her but... Anyways, she took a home pregnancy test, it was negative. Her period has not come either. Did I mention that she is a doctor? Delivers babies actually... so she knows exactly what she is doing.
So she takes a blood test to see. In the meantime we both take std tests. All came back negative. Now she says she is pregnant. Says her beta is 1901 or something like that. Says that means she is pregnant and that its like a tiny sack on the wall of the uterus. I'm no doc and have no clue what all this means. All I know is that I feel so bad here. Can someone please explain. What's weird is that she wants to take me home and have more sex. Is she trying to trap me here. Is she really pregnant?
Please help, I'm desperate for someone who can help.

So I met this girl, she is a doctor. We had sex and now she says she is pregnant.

This was a month ago. Had sex, she says her period was late. Condom broke actually but this was not at time of ejaculation. Buy... she took pregnancy test and it was negative. We both took std tests and all came back negative. She took blood test and sys her beta I think is 1901 which means she is pregnant. What does all this mean.
Now she says she is less than three weeks pregnant. Further more when se told me yesterday, she wants to go back to her place and have more sex. Is this weird? Is she trying something? Pelase help, I'm losing my mind over this. Is she pregnant. She is a doctor and delivers babies for a living... so I'm sure she knows what she is talking about... but I have no clue here.. neeed some expert advice.

    Thank you

If she says she is pregnant, then most likely she is pregnant. Now you are just going to have to wait until the baby is born for a paternity test.

If you don't want to have sex with her anymore you should let her know and move on with your life.

Do you have a relationship with her or was it more of just hooking up with her? How well do you know her and how much do you trust her?

She could be pregnant from your first encounters, or she may have already been pregnant if she had been with someone before you. Perhaps the wanting to continue having sex with you is in hopes of her getting pregnant and she isn't really already. Any scenerio is a possibility.

Keep an account of the dates you were together, when her due date is, how far along she supposedly is, etc. The beta levels she is referring to are for hcg... a hormone associated with pregnancy that will rise during the first several weeks. A level at 1901 for being less then three weeks is a bit odd however. Levels have a fairly wide range, but that is a bit high for less than three weeks.

If you do not plan to continue a relationship with her, obviously do not go back and continue to have sex with her as lighterrr mentioned.

As J_9 said, you will likely have to wait until the baby is born and go for DNA testing to determine whether you are indeed the father.

I'd proceed with caution if the situation seems odd to you.

Thanks for all the responses. I have decided not to have any sex with her. Its weird that she wants to continue having sex though.
We've only had sex three times and I do think I ejaculated in her, but anything is possible I suppose.
I did not understand thre beta concepts... she says she will have another pregnancy test over the weekend. She already had one a week ago and that was negative. That's when she did the blood test... according to her she knew that there was a chance she could still be, one reson is because her period did not come yet.
To me all these things are fishy. I have not had sex with her in over two weeks now, so all this plying out is hard to swallow. But I guess I have no choice but to wait and see. She also said that the beta might not be strong enough to multiple or whatever... I don't understand all this though.

You said this girl is a doctor, what she is telling you makes no sense " beta is not strong enough to multiply". Well as far as I know hcg levels go 2 ways either up or down. Up= pregnancy is viable and progressing normally. Down means the pregnancy is not progressing normally and the chance of miscarriage is high if she has not already lost the baby. You need to get the facts straight with this girl, everything about this story seems strange to me. (just my opinion though).
Your will have to wait and see what the results are from the next beta test and for your information hcg levels double eery 48-72 hours in viable pregnancies. I have given you a link below so you can read up more on the process of pregnancy and it will also give you information on hcg levels.

You seem like a great guy, I wish you all the best.

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:
hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

    3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
    4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
    5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
    6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
    7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
    9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
    13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
    17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
    25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
    Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
    Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml

Are you sure this girl is a doctor? Her "stories" do not add up, and I am a nurse.

I will be honest this entire post sounds fishy, more like a teen righting this not a adult

    1. there are plenty of sperm in the early fluids,
    2. condoms are not 100 percent effective even when used and they don't break.
And of course the girl who is a doctor would know all of that.

Why the check for STD ? Why did she require both of you
