These are 2 movies I saw as a child and for life of me cannot remember the titles, probably late 60's early 70's.
First film has Burl Ives in it and it seems it takes place in a swampy area and he ends up getting bit by a snake (cottonmouth?) which will kill him.
Second movie these people are on some kind of island and are trying to survive. The bad guy of the group ends up getting attacked by baboons.
Not much to go on, but these are the scenes that stuck in my young and immpressionable mind at the time. Any ideas?

The First one is "Wind Across the Everglades." However it was originally
Filmed in 1958. Burl Ives' character was called Cottonmouth and was
Bitten and killed by a cottonmouth snake in the Florida Everglades (a swamp).
