    Hot & Neutral Reversed
Hello, I have just tested an electric circuit in my apartment with an EXTECH ET15 wiring Tester and it says that the Hot & Neutral wires are reversed, is this a problem as the circuit seems to work fine?
    Thanks

Most things that you plug into that circuit will be fine but I would ask your LL to correct the wiring. I doubt that this is limited to just one receptacle. I do not advise that you work on an apartments wiring but you can inspect the wire colors by removing the single screw and the cover, what colors do you see and is there a ground?

The landlord needs to be contacted to hire an electrician to come in and check the entire home for reveres polarity on all receptacles, light fixtures, and appliances.

Reverse polarity with the hot and neutral swapped is an unsafe condition.
