I believe it is a newer movie 2000 or so. It has a man and I believe two sons, one son has to dig a hole in the backyard, that later is a basement in a shed. His dad is a nut job and I think killed his wife. Anyway he starts killing people in the basement of the shed with an axe while making his son watch/help. The boy goes to the sheriff and the sheriff takes him back to the house and doesn't believe him. Then the dad kills the sheriff. All I can really remember. Thanks in advance.
