Is there a cure for emetophobia?
    Hello again.

I'm just wondering... I have a severe fear of vomit, known as emetophobia. I have had it since I was seven or so, and it is really quite extreme.

I can not see vomit, I can't be around when there is, I can't hear it, etc. I don't feel like barfing when I do see it, however. I just run away... FAR.

Is there anything I can do about it that doesn't involve being exposed to it, much like other phobias entail?

    Or is there no cure?

There is no true cure for any phobia, but learning to live with and mitigate the trigger situation.

Ben is right. I can't think of anything that might cure a phobia aside from either overcomming it naturally or simply learning to avoid it.

You can TRY hypnosis. I doubt it will work. But some say it does.

Yes, I read about that. However, most found it inefficient. I'm not sure. I just don't want to have kids one day, and then run away from them because they're sick. That would be the saddest thing ever =(.
