    Lasagna preparation and freezing
My wife and I are making homemade lasagna for a large group/benefit.
We want to make most of the lasagnas ahead of time and freeze them.
The lasagnas will be made with homemade hand cranked pasta, sausage, and the standard ricotta filling.
Will the frozen/reheated lasagna taste as good as the original baked product, and what is the best way to defrost and cook the frozen lasagnas?

I do this all the time because when I make a lasagna, I can never finish the whole thing so I always freeze half. It tastes just as good when it's thawed. I usually let mine thaw in the fridge overnight but I'm sure you could take it directly from the freezer to the oven as well (think about the ones in the frozen foods section).

I have never done this so I don't know if it would work , how about prepping the meal and freezing it before baking and then bake when needed!

As long as you cook it in the oven, it will be great, sometimes you get extra moisture from freezing and the oven will get rid of any extra liquid.

Lasagna always tastes better after it has sat for a while.

I usually make it and wrap it really good and then re-heat it for a large amount of people. Don't forget the garlic bread!:)
