Classic washer machine basement drain hose issue
So I have read as many dang answers about this as I can, and I don't seem to be able to find what I need.
I currently have a installed a washer machine in my basement, and need to understand a best method for washer drain installation.
I have approximately 6 feet from drain to ceiling where my sink drain pipe is. Its approximately 6ft horizontally to tie into the sink drain pipe from the first floor.
I would like to do this properly, and hope I don't need to get an additional pump.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry Tony but it just doesn't work that way. Ya just can't connect into your sink drain without first trapping and venting the washer. Do you have any drainage at all in your basement such as a utility sink or a floor drain? Let me know, Tom

Okay so here is my plan based off your info. I am going to run the washer drain up to about 6 ft, then it will go horizontally about another 6 ft. Within that 6 ft, I will put a p trap and a vent (not sure if it should go before or after... also not sure what size for the vent? )
I can just run my vent 2 or 3 ft and be outside, so no issue there. Does this sound fesible now, and if so, how do you go from washer drain tubing to 1 1/2 pvc? I am going to need to make sure its sealed. Thanks in advance!
