    Bleeding During Pregnancy
Hi this is my first pregnancy I'm 22 years old 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant 9 days ago I started spotting it was pinkish then turned brown then red it was a weekend I waited till Monday called my doctor and went to see him my cervix was closed my blood test turn out okay but I'm still bleeding it stops for a couple of hours the starts again red to brown every time it stops if I go out for a walk (its kind of hot outside) it starts again
I'm really worried I have an ultrasound in 4 days to check on the baby's heart
Should I be worried with all this bleeding and spotting ?

Yes, you should be concerned and should see your doctor ASAP. I would try to be seen earlier than waiting on the ultrasound. Some women have a 'period' throughout their pregnancy but that isn't the norm so you really should get checked out.

Sadly getting in for an ultrasound can take a while. I'm surprised that your doctor didn't suggest bed rest. Walking around right now is probably not a great idea, you should be taking it easy.

Some women do have bleeding throughout their pregnancy, but as NM said, it's not the norm. Any time you have bright red bleeding during your pregnancy you should see your doctor. You've already done that, so now you have to wait and see what the ultrasound says.

Try not to worry, I know, easier said then done, but worrying won't change anything. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen, so just relax, think positive.

    Good luck.
