    Morning everybody,
I'm Stephen and I attempting to fix a air cond. Drain line that has broke off flush with the foundation of the house. Any ideas? (small boxed in drain field?)

Best to replace the line going through the wall with a longer piece of pipe. If it is PCV/plastic pipe you can pick it up a Lowes/Home Depot with a coupling and some glue.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, this piece of pvc has broke off flush with the foundation and is completely surrounded by concrete. (thanx contractor) I don't want to install something smaller in the pipe for fear of causing blockage of whatever debris might flow down. Any other suggestions?

Half inch. Everything I've read says it should have been at least 3/4".

Yes should be 3/4 min or you could install a condensate pump.

Hvac nailed it. Condensate pump would most likely be the best route to go on this.

Yep those pumps are great service calls also. Always carry a new one on the truck. LOL

Very true. Anything mechanical is going to fail. Always BEST to have gravity drain, but in a lot of instances, you just have to weigh the factors, and that often times means condensate pump. Sooner or later the condensate drain is going to plug up(if not properly maintained) and sooner or later a pump will malfuntion, so either way, we get a job.. lol.

Check out the new style Little Giant pump. It has a quick-release check valve and external test switch. Very cool.
